Chichicastenango 28.-30.5.11

Western Highlands we are coming!

After surviving a 3hour trip in an overcrowded chickenbus with a speed overambitious driver, standing in the 30cm wide alley squeezed between Guatemalan shoulders, knees, heads etc. we were ready for the biggest outdoor market in the Highlands in Chichicastenango. It was exciting exploring the market  with its thousand colourful things you probably never need.  But still I couldn’t resist bargaining all my presents. Even though the market is famous for its day tourist invasion it was worth visiting it and watching all the hustle and bustle.
