Livingston, September 11

Weekend break!  Livingston is basically ‘civilisation around the corner’ for us, meaning a 20 to 40 minutes boat ride on the Río Dulce. Here are all the luxuries we miss at the site, ‘fresh’ vegetables, cold beer and a piece of grilled meat. It is a small place on the Caribbean coast and also only accessible by boat. Its isolation, the heat and ethnic mix makes it a curious but interesting place.  Garífunas, Mayas, Mestizos and some Hindus live a relaxed and relatively peaceful life here.

  1. Hey, hoffe Euch gehts gut! Du kannst ja mal zur Erinnerung mal eine Mail schicken, was wie wo. Da man den Blog leider gelegentlich aus den Augen verliert. Die Bilder sind toll! Da kriegt man selbst Lust ins Warme abzudüsen! Gruß, Johann
